Cupcakes and a Workshop. {A Match Made in Heaven}

PhotoGrid art workshop

This weekend I went to a mixed-media workshop at Colorest in Red Bank.  They were promoting these amazing art journals that have heavy enough paper so that water would not make the pages buckle.  Score!

The heavier paper version (180# paper) can even handle acrylics.  This is a great option for creatives on the go…

Beautiful color samples. She also used Inktense Colored Pencils.  They were pretty amazing to play with.

The ultimate art journal!  The maker is Stillman & Birn–pricey but worth it.

Then on to a delicious and romantic dinner with C at Cotija Latin Flavors.  Talk about flavorful food!  The owner talked us through each course, telling us the highlights of each dish.  It was delightful to get such wonderful service.

Empanada appetizer–Delish!

Sunday I went to the Turning Point for a breakfast salad. Watermelon, mango and goat cheese–oh my!

Couldn’t resist these cupcakes from Confections of a Rockstar. Oh. my. God. were they good.  My fav is the bottom left corner–candy bar!
