I have been a huge fan of Tristan Prettyman ever since hearing the song “Never Say Never”.  She was engaged to Jason Mraz and when they broke up, she wrote an amazing album detailing her heartbreak.  (They say creativity is born from anguish and in this case she poured her heart and soul into it.)  She’s touring with that album now– “Cedar + Gold” and I was lucky to catch some of her magic at the Stone Pony last week.

One of my fellow painting classmates, Dawn DiCicco,  had a solo show at the Monmouth Museum; she’s part of the NJ Emerging Artist Series which is an amazing accomplishment! Hooray Dawn!

I rounded out the weekend with a “white party”–remember when P Diddy had them every summer? It was at the Hotel Tides which is quite unassuming on the outside, but inside was a beautiful, peaceful oasis for some drinks and nosh. (Don’t C and I look like we’re posing for the prom?)  I loved the mirrored waterfalls and the buddha statue…
