Getting To Know You + Me

This series is about getting to know you + me.  It’s a reflection of sorts to help you get to know yourself better (and I’m going to share, too!)  When we know ourselves better, it’s easier for others to know us, too, and that creates stronger bonds + connections.  As a result, we feel happier.

Getting To Know You + Me 2 Hours

It isn’t often these days that I have two hours of unplanned free time, but when I do?  It’s like Christmas in July.  I’m one of those people that can get a lot done when I’m super busy, but if you give me free two hours, something in me downshifts and I become a total sloth.  And I love every minute of it.

One of my favorite things to do is to read a gossip magazine.  I know, I know–It’s not one of the most accurate sources to get information but come on!  It’s so entertaining and I totally love seeing those pictures of stars being ‘just like us’.

Another thing I love to do when I have some free time is to be creative in some way.  Even if it’s just doodling or watching a youtube video from one of my favorite artist’s channels, it makes me feel calm + relaxed.

One last favorite way for me to pass the time is napping.  I am such a sleepaholic!  I accepted a long time ago that I am just one of those people that requires a lot of pillow time.  Getting a lot of sleep not only makes me feel good but also makes me a super-pleasant person to be around.  The alternative isn’t so pretty. *grin*

So there you have it, my favorite ways to pass the time.  How we pass our time says a lot about us; not good or bad, it just gives us a peek into what’s going on at that point in our life. I feel like it’s important to incorporate down time as well as productive chunks throughout the day, so I can feel balanced + fulfilled.  What about you?  Tell me your favorite ways to pass the time when you have some extra moments.
